Of course, you can still also use a lumbar pillow right behind your back if you need even more support, but I find the support on this chair ample (and very supportive with the addition of a small rolled hand towel inserted in the back).I highly recommend this Hon basyx chair as I think it's comfortable, solid, gives good lumbar support and is so highly adjustable that it's fully ergonomic and can fit almost all body types
