It does distort the sound of the instrument slightly, making it hard to tune the instrument, yet it does a great job at muting the instrument

It doesn't work very well and the sound was still loud

I just hoped that it would silence the sound enough so that myfamily wouldn’t complain

It is very "stuffy" sounding but definitely worth the money.

Make no mistake, if used correctly it will KILL your sound
