Calculations are very fast with this Platinum version as compared to the original HP12.

Too bad though as I really liked my first 12C but with the state of the newer versions and how shoddy they have become as compared with what they used to be I have no choice unless massive improvements are made to the current manufacturing processes

I still love the 12c but unfortunately quality is so poor compared to my original that finally died.

Keys still feel cheap compared to my original USA-made HP 12C.

and I notice how the keys are inconsistent, some (obviously more heavily used) are getting loose compared to others and I am not a heavy typist by any means

The 12CP display has thinner characters with less visibility in poor light, and most importantly they lose contrast at even a slight viewing angle as compared to a direct 90 degree observation (important when not directly over the calculator, such as on a desktop).

The keys of the anniversary edition do not respond as well as on the regular HP 12C.
