The last picture shows the difference between Hp27er #1 and Hp27er #2, where #2 is currently experiencing this darkening issue and #1 is normal

This method has successfully restored from the darkening issue a handful of times

(DP can suffer the same issues as HDMI)You can trick the monitor into thinking it is DVI over HDMI though

Cheaper black HP model has wobble issues.

A low-end monitor for a low end price with a terrible backlight bleed issue.

I color matched it to the darkened-issue Hp 27er, then fiddled to get the Hp 27er back tor normal

There are some definite weird issues with the display going out on this monitor.

When compared with higher end monitors, it is gray, dim, pixelated, and has a horrible issue with backlight bleed in the lower right quadrant.
