After spending hours trying to find a "fix" for the issue, I replaced the black cartridge with one purchased locally, the printer began working fine.

I will dump HP printers next time, but I believe to be an industry issue as nobody seems to verify the specifications for the printers/cartridges

She kept trying to blame the printer and the problem was the ink cartridge that I bought for $42.....bad cartridge
