The ink arrived today in a box that had clearly been torn open, the tape that protects the cartridge had been removed

This is a fake/counterfeit cartridge!

You might be okay with the printer if you only print every once in a while (like once or twice a month, provided that the cartridge doesn't dry out like others have mentioned).

I have been ripped off, this place must have sent me an old ink cartridge it wont print clear, I tried to clean it about 50 times yesterday, but the black is no good, I have waisted lots of time and money to get this cartridge to work, but it wont, I had to go to best buy and buy another one yesterday, and put it on and it works, so it is not my printer, it was the stupid cartridge

Good print cartridge

Leads me to think this is not an authentic HP cartridge

I truly believe HP purposefully causes problems because you're using a reasonably priced cartridge from another manufacturer.

My printer sent me a message that I print 15 pages a month (almost all of that aligning or cleaning cartridges) and that I could save money with the $4.99/month plan.

After that I have had to shake the cartridge and even then only got maybe another 5 pages out of it
