It is probably a combination of cheap cartridges and printers not optimized to efficiently use those cartridges

The cartridge installed flawlessly into my printer and works great

When we bought this printer, this cartridge was recommended so we ended up buying 2 extra sets, which is almost $200 extra

From ease of installation to quality of printing, you can't do better than genuine HP cartridges!
