HP LaserJet Pro P1102w Wireless Laser Printer (CE658A)

    • I bought this because I read that it would work well with a Chromebook and Google Cloud Print
    • Very simple to set up, instantly working with Google Cloud Print with pages printing within 10 seconds of command
    • If you Google the phrase "hp1102w slow google cloud" you'll see repeated issues with this
    • Dozens of threads discuss this issue that has been ongoing since 2012 - and HP continues to sell the printer as a Google Cloud ready printer
    • Then, using the email address generated by HP, I set up the printer as a Google Cloud printer from my Chromebox.

    • However, as a Google Cloud printer, don't even try
    • I am able to use airprint and google cloud print once connecting this to the cloud
    • BUT if you are like me and purchasing this to run with a chrome book or on a google cloud print it is not easy
    • I purchased this one for use with Google Cloud Print with my Chromebook
    • You'll need to have a dedicated wireless B or G network for this printer to work
    • Do not buy this product unless you're content with running a Wireless G network (very slow) and WPA (unsecure)

    • I bought it because of e print capability, which doesn't work
    • Just make sure once you log into the computers IP page the first thing you do is enable e-print or else nothing will work
