Otherwise, I am happy with the purchase and would recommend the HTC one M8.

I'm glad HTC was listening to their customers about including an SD Card slot as this was somewhat of a buying point for me

With the phone coming in genuine HTC packaging, my confidence in this purchase was even higher.

I was also pleasantly surprised to see that HTC would replace a cracked screen within the first 6 months free of charge and guarantees timely updates for two years

The LG and Samsung phones had surprisingly grainy screens, while the HTC One screen was quite clear

The aluminum casing gives it a much nicer feel than the cheaper plastic of my husbands phone and my old HTC

First the terrible compatibility issues it has with the Macintosh platform, The HTC sync software never works it constantly crashes making backups and data transfers not possible

The battery life is WAAAY better than on my previous phone HTC Vivid

Instead, HTC's corporate executive offered me a $50 HTC voucher for my troubles to purchase other HTC products - which I promptly refused since they were doing everything they can to NOT fix a problem

I've been a loyal HTC user for past 4 years but I may have to switch it up because this is unacceptable!

If you're in the market for an upgrade, I highly recommend the HTC One M8!

My HTC One sounds like separate, focused sources, spatially rendered, with deep, tightly controlled bass, sweet treble, easy on the ears, big dynamics... in other words, all the stuff that says you are approaching audiophile quality playback

As I said before, the 5 inch screen of the device is gorgeous but HTC failed here by including the menu buttons on the screen itself vs dedicated buttons below

The HTC M8 has been a huge disappointment

They both share similar apps and features and i personally prefer htc's

but I am enjoying the HTC One much more than I initially did.

- it is a little longer than proportionate, and the extra "HTC" under the screen bezel isn't the best, but it isn't a deal

Honestly you don't have to do this as the HTC has the best screen latency out of any phone on the market

While I wish the HTC One's display were a little brighter in sunlight, I am very pleased overall with how beautifully it renders my photos

HTC is sort of marketing this phone as "Sexy" and "Refined" they would have worked out something better for the accessories

On the bright side my Galaxy headset should work with it and my HTC vivid charger, which even being 3 or 4 years old is better, should still work.

The Boomsound Speakers are just as great as the first HTC One, if not better

Charging it via the HTC rapid charger plug is very fast too

Both HTC and microsoft have dropped support for this phone with less than two years from production.

However, due to my order getting messed up online and AT&T unwillingness to work with me to try to fix it and their deceptive billing practices, I have to return the phone.

I do not care for Sensu UI/ nor the AT&T garbage-ware, so mine is now a Google Play version of the device.
