Screen stays dark, little LED blinks

I picked up the phone and noticed the screen was shattered, but still functioned.

And, the app works better now than it did without the HTC improvements to it!The screen on this phone is beautiful

You hate burn-in on AMOLED screens and don't want to put up with or even risk having your screen burn in

The phone I received was clearly refurbished, with a tacky bubbled plastic film "protecting" the screen

The HTC is fully customizable, it has great build quality, awesome speakers, cool camera, the best screen latency in the market and An intuitive UI

The processor handles anything you throw at it like a champ, the screen is top of the line, the aluminum body gives it a premium look and feel, and the boomsound speakers are louder than my tablet

There's 32gb of storage, the screen is beautiful, the camera is nice, the speakers are awesome, and the performance is buttery smooth

I love the screen, the sound, the look...and the battery life is beyond compare.

The screen is vibrant and clear and, I don't know the specs, but it is a very pleasant display and probably better than my Nexus 5.It is quick and responsive, has no problems with load times and the camera is great quality

About the phone, it would be a bit better on battery life but that goes for every phone with such a powerful screen

The good obviously being the extra space for the gorgeous 1080p screen, the bad being just a tad too long, IMO

At first I thought that the hard protector screen was the issue - I took it off, and was able to use the touchscreen, though at an annoyingly slow pace, but now I think the phone's touchscreen is responsible for the malfunctioning

You can break your screen and get it replaced in the first 6 months for free by HTC

My screen shattered about 2 weeks of having the phone despite having a 2 piece protective case and a tempered glass protector on it...although in all candor I had the same issue with my Samsung

I am also left wishing that the screen was just a little bit less sensitive to it sometimes, as turning the phone over can sometimes trigger some of the gestures unintentionally

I was even more stunned to pick the phone up and see that not only did it function perfectly, the screen wasn't the least bit damaged

Screen is great I work outdoors and do not use any protective case and it does well in direct sun light, dirt, light rain, sand, and other outside issues

The LG and Samsung phones had surprisingly grainy screens, while the HTC One screen was quite clear

The M8's screen is not susceptible to burn-in at all since it does not use AMOLED technology

We got the One M8 last month and it came with a card in the box that said we could get a free screen replacement in the 1st 6 months if needed

Reasonable battery life, fantastic sounding speakers, great screen size, and if you know how to change firmwares without bricking your phone you can even change it to the Google Play Edition and get OTA updates directly from Google

If you look around on YouTube, there's a video of somebody attempting to scratch the M7's screen by scraping a screwdriver over it and failing to leave any damage

Honestly you don't have to do this as the HTC has the best screen latency out of any phone on the market

LCD is still the way to go for me, and this screen is surprisingly very strong

Being able to double-tap the screen (when held upright in portrait) is a great idea, as is being able to swipe the screen to access certain features

The screen just wouldn't work...was really excited to get the phone and spent about 2 hours at the Verizon store.

The screen is superb, the aluminum body is gorgeous, and the fact that I can slip in a mico-SD card and upgrade my memory by an additional whopping 128GB is incredible

Also the screen is less vivid that Samsung Galaxy S5 or S6 though perhaps more realistic so this is a matter of preference

The screen is vivid and bright and the SD Card will allow you to load a lot of media extending the life of this device

Minor annoyances include not being able customize the lock screen as advertized and Hangouts bloatware covering the screen saying it crashed.

The TV remote is really fun to play with, the screen looks absolutely beautiful, and while the 4MP camera isn't the best, the 3D effects of the camera can make some normally nice photos look very professional

Both of these claim to have superior screens and cameras.

It's fast, responsive, durable, has an amazing screen with clear and loud speakers, pretty good battery life, and the list goes on

The only reason I switched to the iPhone was due to the Inspire's screen finally cracking after over 2 years of use

Compared to AMOLED screens, you'll notice that the colors might not have as much pop and the blacks are not as deep, but what you get instead is a brighter screen with surprisingly accurate color reproduction.
