I bought this phone around 1 month ago (black, 32 Gb).I haven't had phones from Huawei before and was a bit skeptical
-
Also, because this only has soft keys you do lose a little bit of screen real estate, despite having the same screen size as the Galaxy
-
I was a bit skeptical at first because I've never heard of the brand Hauwei
-
The other flaws are that cameras don't have image stabilization, there's no 4k video, and the phone comes pre-loaded with a pretty good bit of bloatware
-
The sim and microSD slots are also a bit hard to get to as you have to use a tiny pin tool (included) to pop open the slot
-
and it's was quite a bit less expensive than other brands with similar features.
-
Threw it through some drywall in a rage, only scuffed the fingerprint sensor and cracked my screen protector a bit
-
The EMUI has a lot of features that the iOS did not once have which blows my mind a bit
-
Coming from CyanogenMod, the Honor 8's flavor of Android is a bit strange, feeling more like iOS.
-
It's was a bit harder to find a decent screen protector for this phone because it has a beveled 2.5 dimensional screen, but after trial and error, I have found that the Nacodex glass screen protector does an amazing job at covering as much as possible without compromising the integrity of the screen protector
-
Hopefully this is just a defective model, other wise i'm replacing it with a Xaomi.
-
but I like this phone BETTER than my S5!!Does everything I've needed it to, & fast
-
Keep in mind in the USA it will only work with T Mobile and AT&T and other resellers/sub dealers ( like Metro PCS ) that use GSM technology
-
it feels as fast as my OnePlus 3T and has great battery life
-
It's been used on the T-Mobile unlimited data plan in the Washington DC area
-
It requires some care to prevent scratches, charges super fast, very responsive, I use it with T-Mobile and the hotspot works
