Sound quality is excellent without any humming that I can detect, even when the unit is idle with music paused

This unit performs well but does not achieve a 20 db boost

I have several audio sources but wanted only one volume control and wasn't sure of the output levels from all the audio sources This unit is compact and works reliably.

I'm sure one unit would be fine for less cable

This unit produces far less noise and is noticable only at its highest gain when no music is playing

maybe i received a defective unit
