The fans seem to work well so far and really help to cool down the laptop, and I don't even hear them when the laptop is sitting on the desk (you can hear them whir pretty easily when you lift the laptop off, but that's not really much of a concern).Others have mentioned that it was hard to put the mouse pad on the desk and that the plastic tabs that help secure the laptop were hard to put on.
