    Illinoise

    • I bet if I tried to give it 1 star, Amazon wouldn't post it, because they want to inflate their big pockets with money from consumers who read their favorable reviews and then get in line to add more money to the pockets of the Amazon superheavy moneybags guys
    • This record is pleasant in it's own dull little way, but these reviews seem like a sort of collective psychosis
    • I read everyone's reviews about this album as well as also the Pitchfork review, which raves about this peice of work
    • I don't understand how people can use their bias when reviewing an album.
    • If those things don't call for a varied musical response, I don't know what does, and with the quality of his first two releases in the series, I can only hope that Stevens continues with his adventurous and overwhelming musical project.(from almost cool music reviews)
    • There, Illinois received very respectable reviews, so I thought that I would try ILLINOIS for myself.
    • For one, it came with a blitzkrieg of tearfully joyous reviews as if it was the greatest thing in alternative music, and who wants to hear that
    • But I cannot give it a glowing five-star review, because I think that the album is only a hint of Sufjan's full potential.
    • That according to metacritic.com, a website which complies hundreds of the top critics reviews and year end top ten lists for each year since 2000.
    • Not only was Illinois listed as the best overall reviewed album of the year but it also led the way in being included in more year end top ten lists than any other album.
    • I have read several of the "Illinoise" customer reviews, and can say with some conviction that this review is a supplement, sometimes (hopefully) a complement.....but never a replacement
    • Okay, so I live in Illinois so this review may be slightly biased, but come on...
    • I am at a loss to explain why this collection of mediocre-to-bad songs, performed and sung with a half-a$$ed attitude and no energy, has gotten so many good reviews from so many people
    • I was skeptical when I read all the great reviews of this album in various music magazines
    • I'd never heard of Stevens before hearing the glowing reviews for this album; now that I've heard it, I'm looking forward to catching up with a musical trip down I-94 to "Michigan
    • lets face it, most people write online reviews because they LOVE or HATE something
    • the reviews (again I can thank Amazon listeners for leading me to new tunes
    • I was hoping the reviews I've read about Illinois were correct, but I lost that bet.
    • Plenty of people have given Sufjan Stevens favorable reviews I totally agree with.
