After listing to the album a number of times the incredible structure of songs like "The Predatory Wasp of the Palisades..." was so moving.

But after one listen to the chorus and trumpet solo in "Chicago", the alt/country stylings of "Decatur", or the soft, almost crying strain of "The Predatory Wasp of the Palisades

I could keep going).Very few people are able to write songs with such instrumental, thematic, and lyrical complexity and still end up with songs that are melodic and listenable

It is an ambitious project that suceeeds most of the time, my favorites being 'Casimir Pulaski Day' and 'The Predatory Wasp Of The Pallisades Is Out To Get Us!'

Songs that really caught me were "John Wayne Gacy, Jr", "The Predatory Wasp...", and "The Seer's Tower", although there really is something for everyone.
