I prefer my headphones with good, clear, punchy bass and good highs that aren't too brassy.

For me, if they are just slightly off you lose bass.

It has almost tight enough mid-bass without an overwhelming sub-bass (I'm a tight mid-bass snob, so that is actually a compliment).

I sort of just thought because everybody's ear canal shape is slightly different, you would just have to put up with varying degrees of uncontrolled bass.

Get them fitted properly and sealed in your ear canal, and you will have full, rich bass and mids.

Using my modded iPod Mini with a Fiio E07K gives me crystal clear highs, smooth mids, and all the deep, clear bass you could want.

I personally love bass in my music, but I'll get to that later.4

By the way, the bass is not overpowering at all: it's just natural.

With a twinge of guilt, I activated the vulgar bass boost on my Fiio A5, then let the tunes fly.

The sounds signature is very balanced, coherent top to bottom with good deep solid bass, very clear mid range and beautiful high frequencies with no harshness.

I use them for in-ear monitoring in live performance, as well as with my phone and am very satisfied with the sound and with the sensitivity of the microphone.
