The mount attaches to the back or side of your computer desk, I used both the boom cover and the pop filter and it completely eliminates the noise of my fan (depending on the gain level) and have noticed much quieter background noise

The wind screen is excellent for filtering out background noise

It also made my voice sound better or more clear and even took care of some of the background noise

I'm a podcaster, and this helps me record comfortably with picking up too much background noise
