The stand itself is what you pay for, its a rubber twist clamp that you compress to the side of your desk, However the metal is pretty finicky, with a bit of play in the stand itself.

I guess I flubbed my original review when I said it "feels sturdy and of decent quality materials" because looking at the metal along the break, it looks like cheap thin metal just folded into a square rod so it wont bend

There is no padding, the metal can get scrapped so when you adjust it you have to be super careful that you don't scratch anything

It broke it's a cheap hollow bad aluminum felling metal
