Inteset 4-in-1 Universal Backlit IR Learning Remote for use with Apple TV, Xbox One, Roku, Media Center/Kodi, Nvidia Shield, most Streamers and other A/V Devices

    • only complaint is an all power button that powers on/off selected synced devices, however you can create a macro to do this as well, but the available "free" buttons are not really easy to understand what they do if you are a guest or a wife that refuses to learn the remote.
    • Specifically, the back button (reverse arrow) acts like an "Exit" button instead of "Back".
    • I worked around this by programing another button, but food for thought for the next design.
    • I considered an "OEM" replacement because of the complex setup buttons that the original RC-1099 had inside a "trap door" on the back.
    • Programmed buttons from old media center remote, but the function worked one
    • Very simple to map buttons and works well with my Roku Ultra.
    • I've found that my home theater system is shorted of important sound adjustment buttons for my system, but this one does it all!2
    • Generally the button lay out is good
    • number)- enter the number on the remote (assigned to one of 4 possible devices)- done for ever!I also wanted the Inteset remote to "learn" from my Oppo BD player a specific feature- place the two remotes head to head (Inteset and Oppo)- press "learn" sequence on the Inteset- press the button to be learned on the Oppo remote- done for good! The Inteset cheap price and its apparent simplicity may lead to some hesitation
    • Either way I made sure I was not programming unnecessary buttons and it meets all my needs to control a
    • To be better it needs a few more buttons and to be back lit upon movement.
    • Returned due to faulty buttons
    • If you're willing to put in more time than that, follow directions, and be more creative with the programming, then you can end up with a remote that limits button pushing and confusion for most users
    • Pretty simple to program, all the buttons needed for my tv and TiVo work flawlessly.
    • Fairly easy to figure out the buttons as well
    • Pretty easy to setup, does not include enough similar buttons to replace the Directv remote in my opinion.
    • The buttons for channels 5 through 9 stopped working when pressed after a few months
    • The big pause/play and backlit was my biggest reason for getting this as I can rarely find the pause/play on my main reciever remote that has like 1897 buttons on it and no back light.
    • You can program buttons from the TV to work when you have the Roku device selected to adjust the volume and turn the TV on/off, sweet ;)
    • Works perfect with my 65 in curved Samsung smart TV (smart hub button too!)
    • Not perfect, of course, buttons could be less stiff and with a better shape, but the bang-for-the-buck is off the charts.
    • I like the backlit buttons
    • For example, while the back button works as it should for most apps, I have not found any button on this remote to perform the back command within Hulu.
    • Works but buttons to figity for my taste
    • The backlit buttons are extra handy
    • The only negatives, not really worth docking a whole star: some of the buttons are smaller and harder to read than the cable remote and the stickers for customising the buttons are pretty useless...they are not completely scored and are larger than the buttons I would use them on.
    • but I was able to program all the buttons I need for it, however it ran out of memory so when I programmed the Power and Input buttons to work for my TV when I'm using the Roku it won't let me have both
    • Having used touch screen remotes for a number of years I've learned to appreciate how much more reliable hard buttons are
    • Every button still works, the backlight still works, and this is after tons of use and many falls.
    • The buttons I use most got harder and harder to press until they just stopped working
    • This could solve the "you have to press the buttons hard" problem that many of us have experienced.
    • It can handle some buttons but misses key buttons like Home and Back
    • Works perfectly and love the light up buttons!
    • Most buttons are smallish, but not tiny
    • Just remember which thing you want to control and use the correct button to get to it
    • , buttons feel good
    • I've been able to program special buttons for things like controlling Floor-standing and Window mounted Fans that come with their own IR remote
    • The buttons are a little small and mushy for my taste but they work flawlessly.
    • The black-lights are a nice addition, the buttons feel pretty good, and the back of the remote is soft
    • only complaint is the buttons are not as sensitive as I would like them to be
    • I tried to teach the volume up, down, and mute buttons on the remote to work with the soundbar but pushing any of the three buttons on the remote only raised the volume, which obviously was painfully unacceptable
    • There are 3 large pieces inside, the rubber sheet of buttons, the circuit board and a clear plastic button guide in between the two.
    • The back lit buttons are great as well as the build quality.
    • Has a good weight, soft lighted buttons and has not given us any issues
    • The light up feature is silly because it only lights up when you hit a button , not a dedicated light button but any button sounds great except you don't know what you are
    • The only complaint I have, and it's a mild one, is that I would like a "power device" and a "power all" button
    • BUTTON COMPLEMENT
    • Having used touch screen remotes for a number of years I've learned to appreciate how much more reliable hard buttons are
    • I can't speak about battery life, but the backlit buttons are bright
    • Pushes ALL the right buttons (pun intended!).
    • know by it's users), plus I didn't like the recessed arrow buttons
    • Since I never leave a review without identifying at least one area of improvement, I would say that I wish the buttons felt a little more solid instead of being so big and wobbly - also, some of the stickers are SLIGHTLY
    • On the old remote, press the button you want the button on the new remote to become6) Repeat for all buttons on the remote you need, omitting the restIt can hold FOUR different remotes just by toggling profiles at the top of the remote
    • Pros:-This remote feels very natural in your hand.-The buttons are relatively clear and easy to find.-The back-light is nice to have in dark environments (though I do wish there was a way to switch the backlight on until you want to turn it off)
    • Powering on the XBox works, the "Home" button works, back buttons work appropriately and the "Ok" button works correctly for "clicking" in addition to the "A" button.
    • This adds one extra button push that I would like to eliminate.
    • The buttons are working again
    • It is easy to switch from one appliance to the other and the buttons are pretty intuitive
    • I had no complaints with this remote other than the buttons are not very responsive; often times you will have to press the button down very hard before it will work
    • For the soundbar it cycles through the soundbar input options (bluetooth, input 1, input 2, etc.)You can universally set a button to work across all devices (usually volume, etc.), you can individually program any button FROM ANY OF THE DEVICES.
    • (And, I once paid $80 looking for one that would run all of my devices and not lose buttons.
    • I recently laid to rest an expensive remote for that very reason (PLAY and FF buttons bit the dust).
    • so I like the illuminated buttons in the dark.
    • Also the buttons that perform series of commands are pretty awesome!Want to change to HDMI-1 on the TV while controlling my apple tv and setting my surround sound to the correct input
    • This super flexible, extensive remote has enough buttons and features to operate most components of your entertainment center, including Smart TV hubs built-in to TVs.
    • History and preamble - you may skip to the review:I bought this remote to replace my old Denon AVR-789 unit because the ON and OFF buttons had ceased working.
    • A couple buttons stopped working this week (we've had it 10 months) but instead of considering this a failure, I came up with an easy fix.
    • but I'd get a lot more use out of them if there were some generic buttons available - now that I know how great macros are, I would pay more for a slightly larger version of this remote that offered ~8 generic buttons intended for macro programming
    • The backlight is great and the buttons are easy to read.
    • Easy to program, macro capabilities, and punch down specific buttons (for example, TV Volume can be set to work on all functions)
    • This is annoying and requires you to constantly push the device button again to make sure you are in the correct mode since there is no way of knowing otherwise.-On each device I had to basically set up just about every single button as a learned custom button because the included codes did not work for much more than turning device on and maybe a few simple functions.
    • I wish there was a button to engage the backlight without having to depress an active button, but that is very minor.
    • Intuitive button positioning.
    • The upper four-direction navigation and big center "ok" button also are easy to use by touch
    • It operates only a Fios DVR box and Samsung TV.The merits: I'm happy with the remote's configurability; I succeeded at setting a single button to power on/off, and a programmable button to bring up the 'favorites' submenu on my DVR.
    • The key layout isn't great for Media Center since the channel up/down rocker button is far away from the up/down/left/right buttons; these sets are used in the Media Center guide
    • The illuminated buttons were also a huge selling point for me
    • Easy to configure for any device, and the extra buttons at the bottom are useful for advanced setups.
    • The buttons are, for the most part, well laid out and include important buttons (like Eject) that are often ommitted on inexpensive universal remotes
    • The buttons dont feel great and have a very soft rubber texture that at times don't even feel like you pressed them down when you did
    • Super product and most buttons are customizable
    • I've had it 13 months and several buttons stopped working
    • The bottom eight buttons were useless to me due to the size and spacing.
    • so one button gets us ready to do what we need to!
    • The only thing, I wish there was a pause button when performing macros to create longer chain commands without having to fill the space with unneeded button pressing
    • i program one button, then a 2nd, and 1st button is wiped out, very frustrating
    • Because a universal remote allows control of several devices, it is almost impossible to reach all buttons comfortable and to use them instinctually from one location
    • I may need to go back and reprogram the whole remote and decide which button for my VCR isn't important.
    • Certainly, the more expensive remotes can change the input, but usually only in a macro or on the 'soft' buttons next to their LCD screen.4. BACKLIGHTING
    • There are enough "extra" buttons to do most of what the original remote does
    • Nice, large buttons & backlight
    • A” button and the 5 digit code did not work
    • It was only after the fact that I learned that certain key buttons (like skip forward 30 seconds, jump back 10 seconds, and the Live TV equivalents
    • Yes, volume can be set to be universal as well as the channel button
    • WOW!By looking at the zoomed picture it appears that this is a full size remote with nice sized buttons, not the case the remote is small most of the buttons are tiny, they stick up too far, and are hard to press, especially for people like me with big hands
    • The back lit buttons are great, and was a selling point to replace the cable remote that didn't light up.
    • SO easy to set up and SO easy to "teach" the remote your favorite buttons from your existing remote
    • But when I tried to teach it a missing button from my tv remote (the smart tv menu) I got an error which the manual says is a "memory fault"
    • It does have some nice programmable button features, shame that it doesn't always work.
    • UP button extremely lag even pointing in front of the TV (besides that everything is works fine)This is the best universal remote for roku i been try already other remotes this is the only one that works not very
    • It has good button layout, and adequate memory for my requirements, so far at least
    • The Tivo dvr skip 30seconds and jump back 10second buttons were in the pip button section and I was able to move them to the correct buttons per directions
    • The only problem I have left is the "back 30 seconds" button from Roku.
    • The only problem they had was the dreaded button failing problem but at least they lasted a few years, not a few months like this Inteset INT-422.I will keep looking for a simple, inexpensive, high quality, and well designed learning remote because this INT-422 is not it
    • I was able to "learn" buttons from my cable controller that I always use ("favorite channel" button is used a lot)You can override buttons so they always transmit to the same output - meaning I typically have my remote switched to the cable box
    • I would pay an extra $10 to have a version that has buttons like the Tivo peanut remote or unlit keys if that's what it takes to get the buttons to have a more solid and
    • Love you can setup permanent buttons across all devices (like controlling tv volume while on another devices) and also programming macros up to 32 instructions
    • You need to open the remote and clean the buttons and contacts with alcohol or acetone and they usually will work again for a few more months until more of that clear goo leaks out
    • I love all the options given, but they are a huge pain to put on as you have to cut them to fit the buttons, and after having the remote for only 2 days, I have already lost 2 stickers that have fallen off their respective buttons
    • The back-lit buttons makes it easy to read at night
    • Plus buttons all light up so perfect for bedroom
    • It doesn't work with my Denon receiver and it lacks a button to turn on the illumination for the
    • Pretty easy to setup, does not include enough similar buttons to replace the Directv remote in my opinion.
    • Works with the Xbox one perfectly it was even setup already just click b and your good to go, great remote
    • n’t go mad from silence.
    • n’t go mad from silence.
