• Reviews around water (2.20 of 5)

    Intex Swim Center Family Inflatable Pool, 120" X 72" X 22", for Ages 6+

    • Bottom two sections did not hold air, filled up in the evening to allow the sun to warm up the water the next day
    • And half the water had leaked out
    • My 4 year old has been doing private swim lessons for over 2 years, so he is a fish that loves the water... and we don’t have a built in pool
    • It's a good size, kids wee way excited, but there's a HOLE!!!After doing this review, and draining the water, looked at where the hole was, and found a PATCH!!
    • : it was fairly easy to clean, empty & move around the yard (never on a hard or rough surface) even with no water drain hole since it was constantly deflating, we just stepped on the side to drain the water until it was empty enough to flip it over
    • It does get dirty - particularly with our hard water
    • Oh make sure your kids can climb over it saftly, get a air pump, pool cover, and aqua chem for small kiddie pools of 200-1000 gallons so you dont have to dump water often.
    • Gr8 pool however trying to drain water the bottom wripped so only got to use it for a week or so
    • Each of the past 3 years I've bought variations only to have them leak - either water or air.
    • FYI, I used a small dry/vac to inflate, used a floating chlorine device, and adapted an intex 660 filter that worked great, sparkling and fresh water, on the former.
    • The shocking of the water isn't the hard part, its the fact that you do have to clean off the slime off the bottom and the walls - and you have to dump the water to do so - and this pool takes ALOT of water for a "kiddie pool" Incredible waste of money and water.
    • Pool is great just its hard to empty when the water gets dirty, the drain hole at the bottom of the pool isn't much help.
    • No plug to drain water
    • We have hard water and the white bottom gets pretty dirty after kids play in it all weekend, but cleaning it with some vinager and my car sponge works great
    • Once the water reached the desired water level the pool side collapsed again.
    • Fast forward to a week later the pool need to be drained of the water and refilled because the water is a little dirty
    • Also, since we dumped the water frequently, it hasn't killed our lawn which is something I was concerned with.
    • and I pulled the pool upside down to dump out the water.
    • The depth is perfect for my six-year-old to play and splash and practice her mad water skillz, and for me and my spouse to chillax with a cold beverage on a hot day
    • I would not care except the water runs out of the low spot when the air has leaked out
    • because there are no holes for the hoses, I have to prime it with a hose each time but it keeps the water clean and nice.
    • There was enough room and water for him to use a little swim ring to float around and plenty of room to play
    • The pool never leaked water it just lost air in both parts.
    • I wish there was a bigger hole to drain out the water
    • Also, I used a small pool shock and swim, this kept the water clear and stopped the greasy, slimy film.
    • The next morning, one side was sagging so far, the water poured out like a waterfall as soon as we took the cover off (more money Intex got out of me)
    • When you blow it up and fill it with water after 3 days there was water inside where the air was
    • Water immediately began leaking over the side
    • After lifting the pool I was too exhausted to fill the sides up with air and then refill with clean water
    • otherwise water would get dirty easily with outside stuff
    • Just inflated and filled this pool and the water is leaking from the drain and from a seam along the bottom
    • If i didn't do that, eventually the top part of the pool would lean enough that I would lose water over it's side
    • The inside seams tend to leak the water to the inside chambers
    • They haven't been able to fully utilize it as it's always in a semi-inflated state and they have to be somewhat cautious about climbing in/out in order not to lose water.
    • the only complaint i have is the drain plug gets sucked closed as you try to drain the water out.
    • We don't do any kind of jumping around as we are in our late 40's - 50, but we do have 2 grandchildren who, our 4 year old granddaughter LOVES to play in it!Even with us getting in it every day, the water has remained clean, with the exception of a few leaves and some grass <from mowing>, but that stuff is easily removed
    • However, it started deflating immediately and losing water
    • The pool never leaked water it just lost air in both parts.
    • The one issue is the water gets dirty very quickly, which is to be expected.
    • It's impossible to keep clean for long due to not being able to drain the water.
    • Also hard to drain out the water in the yard
    • Shocking the water would be plain silly for this pool
    • Here in Texas, it's s hot that the water is usually very hot when we get in it,
    • and it's ready to be dumped out and refilled with fresh water
    • but it would have held more water & been more fun for all of
    • but it works and water is clean
    • and I'm emptying a 55 gallon hot water tank into it, it stays quite chilly
    • It doesn't hold air properly, it causes the pool to lose water
    • Its good to have it around, we just fill it up with air, then water and there it is!
    • Easy set up and just enough water for her!
    • It has leaked air from the bottom rung as well as leaked water into the bottom rung
    • Bottom line, these pools just don't stand up to continuous Florida sun and chlorine needed to keep the water clear.
    • So even with a cover and chlorine I have to dump the water every few days.
    • If you put a tarp down under neath and around it the water stays clean longer!
    • No water leaks, either.
    • HOW U HAVE TO KEEP PUTTING FRESH WATER
    • There is a plug to drain the water in one of the corners
    • so water leaks out
    • Therefore, it causes the pool to stretch out and lose water
    • It is a pain to drain the water because the weight of the full pool keeps water from getting out of the small drain hole on the bottom (we've tried on the grass and on the driveway - even overnight the thing is still full)
    • We opted to do this as we didn't want to bother with the chlorine tabs and just keep the water fresh by filling each time (as we aren't at this particular location to use the
    • The drain plug is so small it does not work, it has to be flipped to drain water
    • However, if you try to keep the water clean naturally, it only lasts for about a week.
    • The drain in on the bottom and the water weighs the pool down
    • I’ve dumped the water only once when the pool was left unused for several weeks and got a little dirty from lack of care on my part
    • I just wish I could figure out how to warm the water
    • so it leaks water all the time.
    • But on a hot, hot summer day, this is perfect for relaxing in the cool water sipping on a cold drink
    • Once I get the level issue figured out; I plan to just keep water in it for a few weeks at a time and add small amounts of bleach and baking soda as needed (checking with water testing strips) to keep the water decent because I can’t afford to be emptying it out every other day
    • Therefore, to empty it required my wife and I to lift it, full of water, and dump the water out over the side.
    • I keep covered with tarp to keep water clean.
    • Admittedly, I bought this somewhere else, but I wanted to be sure people knew this pool is tough enough to serve as the basis for a 45 gallon pool of mud, just as well as water, and that shoveling said mud out of the pool is super-easy because of the tiered deflation action on this Intex pool and a tough plastic that forgives bumps and scrapes from snow shovels (I can't recommend a particular snow shovel, but think about your back as you shop for one)
    • so we dump a little water and add a bit to make it comfortable
    • Keeps losing air and listing and losing water
    • We laid down a lot of pipe to drain the water in the street.
    • By day 2 it lost half its water because the top portion completely deflated and the bottom started to lose air
    • It has to be completely level or the water will start to leak out.
    • The water will not stay clean
    • Has a small hole to drain water at one corner, takes some time to drain and then you need to flip it over to get the rest out
    • The only thing I didn't consider was the fact that I like to be in a pool to cool off almost daily until summer is over, and I didn't contemplate the need to drain and refill with clean water, as much as I found myself wanting..
    • not a problem with the product, but you have to dump out the water a lot - and if you don't (and even if you do, really) it gets moldy and/or algae-y. need to clean it with bleach or something.
    • I personally take it to the beach in Chicago, get it setup and filled with about 25-30 trips of lake water prior to noon on an 80s day and by 6pm you'll have some warm water
    • Wish it had a section to put the tubes of a filter system on it - I have to put them up over the edge and weight them down with rocks - lost half my water one day when the output hose fell out of the pool, but the intake remained in.
    • The pool is inflated properly, but the sides buckle outwards leaking water everywhere
    • so we only have to fill it up when we need to take it down, or we need to clean the water.
    • Undoubtedly there are better ways of keeping the water clean and we'll research those as we go along
    • Have had it up for a month now and water still clear and not cloudy
    • Besides having not an easy job to clean it out every 3 days about by emptying it manually by opening all 3 air holes, emptying the water and then cleaning the bottom of it with soap and a sponge..i let the kids do all
    • Water is too costly in NC to be dumping and refilling every few days
    • We have purchased a cover and some chemicals to keep water clean and minimize water changes.
    • I bought small pool sanitizer and the Intex pool cover designed for this pool and have found that I can keep the water clear and safe for over a week.
    • Used it ONE TIME (first warm day of the season) & when we drained the water from the designated plug on the bottom of the pool, the plug ripped right off from the pool seam leaving us with a big hole
    • The only issue is during hotter days it seems to lose air and water but that is easy to remedy and probably has to do with the vinyl material used.
    • I have put one of these pools up every summer for 5 years and found that if you get a chlorine floater that holds 1" tablets and put a tab or two in it weekly, you never have to drain the water
    • It has a great water capacity
    • Bought this several years ago and dumped a dirty water out couple days later and never filled it again
    • and it keeps the water nice and clean.
    • I would have given it 3.5-4 stars, mainly because we did have to dump the water and it got dirty quickly and wasn't easy to drain.
    • However, the second time it was blown up, within hours one side was collapsing and water was pouring out.
    • Kids loved it, holds a lot of water, used a tarp to cover after use so as not to waste the water.
    • Amazon wanted me to return the item; however, that was not possible without cutting the pool open to drain the water that had filled inside the tube
    • n’t work
    • n’t feel guilty having to put it in the trash.
