When I use this product, the phone shows that it is charging, but it does so more slowly than the idle phone uses battery

Before we could install it, we decided to change certain things about our phone cases (went to a pop socket) and can no longer use this, as 1) it is unable to charge through the thickness of the pop socket, and 2) will not hold the phone in place as the "fingers" are too small to secure a cased phone

It works OK, it holds well and it is sturdily made, however, the magnetic charging is NOT strong enough to work through an otterbox defender or any other solidly protective case, so if you use one, then skip this and buy a less expensive phone mount. .
