There's no way to put the phone in the wrong spot

I was using a huge samsung wireless charger, which worked ok, but it stops charging if I don't put the phone in the perfect spot

So again, if I want to hit a button to see how much charge is left the phone inevitably slides off of the charger or at least off of the "sweet spot" where wireless charging is possible
