Great case

Now in all fairness I do have a case on my phone, perhaps that lead to that problem

it holds my iphone X (which is encased in a supcase protective case), nifty little key space (although I have a key chain so it doesn't matter

The band can fit my iPhone X with a decently bulky case on it (less bulky than an otter box) and the Velcro has a nice hold
