This is a great storage method for files that you have to keep but don't need immediate access to.
I have found these to be excellent storage boxes for a variety of uses and have never had any issue with the plastic deforming or becoming brittle over time

Not sure if the issue is in shipping or the product, though the cardboard boxes that they were delivered in were not damaged, so it is my guess the issue is the product itself.
Wonderful product for storage/moving of files.

Nice way to organize paperwork so that you can find what you need within minutes as well as freeing up space in your desk file drawer.
They stack beautifully, and I love the way the green ball-like 'feet' that protrude from the bottom glide across surfaces and stack into the grooves of the lid of other containers.

The fourth variation has a foam seal that runs the full circumference of the top of the container, and it does make a good seal when the lid is in place and clamped down using the four latches

The ISIS store and slide file box is an excellent file box as the cover snaps on to provide an excellent seal, keeping out moisture and bugs.
