For someone on a budget needing a warm, rich sound while being easy to blow, I can't see how you could go wrong with this!My daughter was very enthusiastic about the difference between this and her stock mouthpiece, and after learning this was very affordable her eyes went really wide with excitement and in hope that it was within our grasp to make a change to one of this caliber - exactly the reaction a parent loves to see.
No negative comments, but the sound is a little bright for concert band.

Knowing that, the Hite would be okay for school level jazz but would play quieter than I would like, and I'd prefer the Selmer which was surprisingly loud when pushed
But for pure concert band this Hite is a gem! While we both independently preferred the Selmer in the end, we'd be perfectly happy with this Hite

Both definitely had a more more pleasing sound than the Yamaha 4C (which is a great starter and marching mouthpiece!) and more enjoyable to play overall
