Did not soak the paper (really annoying when other highlighters do that especially on textbooks where it then wrinkles...ugh)All in all a great purchase, great price and the product does exactly what is intended.
The color saturation is so much better than the Zebra Mildliners and you get more colors for a better price point.

They work great...you can easily read the text with all the colors, they don't obscure copies, and the chisel tips are great for making lines & circles.

My pen smeared a little, but I think that was more the gel pen than the highlighters.
