If the disk is scratched, run the fine sandpaper first.

Cracked disks get thrown away

Not giving the machine enough time on 1 step will give you an unreadable disk.

Will not recover every disk, but works great on the vast majority of them

As you can see in the second photo, there were still some minor scratches that I didn't think were relevant, but the disk was still unreadable by the XBox
