Also the soft sandpaper will heat the disc up faster so keep cooling it with ice in between sanding s then polish according to directions

So I sent it through a 10-second sanding cycle with the soft sandpaper, then back through the two recommended buffing cycles, and voila

Only use the sandpapers as a last resort for deep scratches but do not overdo it

then cool again before moving to the soft sandpaper and repeating the sand and cool process

If the disk is scratched, run the fine sandpaper first.

Bought this to hopefully recover a CD-R with medium scratches in it.
