They sound crisp and do a great job with high notes, sounds as good if not better than the more expensive and heavy duty J4 earbuds (J4 still has the best bass in the family, although these come in second, still ahead of J5 and J6 models).

The bass is strong but not overwhelming (that was one of the biggest complaints about the Epic earbuds

really really good bass at this price.

I like high bass when I am working out (which is when I put these on) and it didn't quite get to the low frequency, but the mid and the high end was crystal clear!
