I can't really fault the pedal though, since most want Mesa Boogie tone for outrageous distortion.

Bought this to try to get some more modern sounding distortion

This is a great affordable distortion pedal

The Joyo took away the harshness of the Metal Zone and provided great sounding distortion with lots of touch sensitivity into a 65 Princeton Reverb.

The distortion is great and very amp-like, except at extreme EQ settings
