the braiding of the cords would be much like those I've seen, that have a cheap fabric like material woven around an even cheaper made cord, but not ONLY is the braiding either a thick twine, or even metallic material, but the cord is very thick, and has a peice that fits into the head of the cable, that protects the cord from fraying (when u rest it on something that strains the base of the cable)

If you want a good cord for your phone I would absolutely recommend this cord.
