I use to drown out ambient noise at work

They choke out a little ambient noise, but not so much you can't understand someone talking to you.

They seem to reproduce everything accurately enough - considering they don't cover your full ear and isolate ambient noise

And I notice that it dampens the annoying ambient noise around me (cell-phones, talking, lifters grunting, overhead music, announcements from front desk, tread mills pounding, etc.)

Wish they were not broken as they looked great, small not heavy or bulky and would have been comfortable to wear

I was going to add "for the price" but honestly, I think they sound nearly as good as my Bose QC 25, though they don't have noise cancelling, of course.

They would work much better in a low noise environment as, again they are not studio headphones

The bass doesn't sound as rich as on the expensive pair of headphones I no longer use, but it sounds much better than the cheap headphones I was using

I would not recommend as it is not durable for intended use.

but if I am listening to music or watching a movie and don't want to disturb my roommates I much prefer external headphones as buds can make your ears itch
