That nut is worthless when it comes time to remove the filter.

Installed on my 06 VFR and with the tight clearances the nut on the end of this filter is worth the couple extra bucks to me

Fits perfectly on my 2014 Triumph Street Triple R. Seems like many people believe the REMOVAL nut is for installation as well, but that's not the case and is the reason why many people are getting leaks

Nut on top makes removal and installation torqueing much easier..

I like the hex nut on the end of the filter, really helps to remove-tighten it in a hard to get to spot!

If the filter is slightly overtightened when installed or gets baked on a bit during use, the nut isn't solid enough to withstand the torquing force required to remove the filter

Great oil filters and the nut helps out a lot on bikes with a close fit where you cannot get an oil filter wrench on.

This is located in a hard to access area so the nut makes it much easier to install and remove.

The nut on the top is a great concept, however, if you're unable to apply sticker straight on center of of you apply too much torque, the nut loses its shape and socket will be useless for removal of filter.
