Good: After a little research I found that K&N oil filters do not use paper media like many popular oil filters such as FRAM, this paper can come apart and harm your engine

Keeps oil clean better than a cheap Fram filters

Oil comes out a little cleaner than normal compared to Fram and Puralator.

Remember to fill it up first with fresh oil before installing!

The HP series costs twice as much as the PS series and the only difference is the nut and slightly thicker filter body....neither of those effect the oil cleaning/filtering performance.
