Yes, it's tuned differently, but if you play the baritone exactly like the other ukes, you'll love the sound.

That complicates tuning a little because the C string is contracting now while the other strings are stretching, but all the strings should stabilize soon

We did have trouble with the tuner and tuning one of the strings.

She is having fun learning, and is glad not to have to worry about stretching strings--it stayed tuned pretty well from the get-go.
