I wanted to continue to use my Razer pad anyway, I just cut away the cheap flimsy mouse pad from the gel wrist rest.

The gel portion was pierced in my laptop bag and gel is oozing out which is a nasty, sticky substance and the pad has now been rendered useless as a result.
