This is a great product for younger kids but if your buying this for a older child you should get something else.

so it's ok, but anyone wanting a good sound should go with a higher quality, more expensive recorder.

The sound is perfect and her teacher thinks it's great too!

My Daughters sounds...somewhat better; so either she has a little more talent than those other kids (I doubt it) or this recorder is of slightly better quality than their $3 school supplied ones

While this is a pretty recorder and seems to play fairly well the quality is not very good.

The very rude, nasty and grumpy music teacher at my kids school demanded only Brown recorders from an obscure website...gladly ordered this bright blue one from Amazon 😄 works great, sounds just as ridiculous as everyone else’s recorder and gave that extra punch of color that her Christmas pageant needed.
