i use this as a boot drive, windows boot time cut to lees that half the time from a 7200rpm drive.be sure to keep at least 20% drive space free anytime you go beyond 80% drive usage the speed of this hard drive significantly drops , at times it can get even slower than a 7200rpm drive, this is normal for ssd's and nothing to be alarmed by, just be sure to keep an eye on your usage.

It's not the fastest drive (more like a low to mid level performace comparing to other ssd) and the SATA III standard is getting phased out by newer/faster Pcie Nvme drives
