These happened to be available DIRT CHEAP and were the perfect upgrade for an older computer using newer things like digital cameras with bigger files and HD movies.

Purchased this RAM for an HP Pavilion laptop that came with a single 4GB SODIMM (kudos to HP to allow for easy upgrade).
