It allowed me to use the phone (albeit not very well---I had to use it in 'speaker' mode, and the noise in the car was quite audible to people I called) and to listen to podcasts and music

That excitement quickly went away when I plugged it in to my 2009 Jeep Patriot and heard an awful buzzing/humming noise

They recommend a noise

Overall not too bad, but I wouldn't buy it again unless it were a last resort because the noise is rather irritable.

The connecrion to the auxiliary port creates an annoying buzzing noise

It doesn't filter out background noise very well on phone calls though

Also if you stereo makes an annoying static noise when you plug in your aux and a charging cord into your phone this most likely will cause the same noise but it is easily fixable with the mpow noise isolater

Thanks device pairs very quickly with my phone and plays music and foes phone calls but the incessant white noise / ticking sound is going to make me RMA this

Mine had a bad buzzing noise but after I connected the filter, it's crystal clear
