my third tipper, good size and nice heft, comfy in the hand and fun to play with

The cipín weighs in at 41 grams and I personally prefer my sticks to be at around 32-37g.

But the stick is thin, so my wrist is not hurt by too heavy a stick.

He recommends straight sticks with no knobs on the ends.

My partner prefers the lighter, rounded heads

I will caution that it is a lot heavier than some other tippers, and that the rounded, squared heads can make it easier than merely rounded headed tippers, but I like it

It is balanced well, smooth on the ends and a little less so in the middle which provides better grip

I will probably put a bit of handlebar/hockey tape on my favorite gripping spots, as it is a bit thin at the grip.

I only wish it had a notch or bump in the middle for a better grip, but even still, it's definitely worth the money.

I added cut sheep skin to the ends and do miss a middle knobs for better grip

I think it's a quite good product at a very good price, and if you have any issues with the rods rotating, just cap the end with some epoxy

and it not only stopped the straws from moving or rotating, it also smoothed their rough edges as well, preventing a slight scraping sound on the drum.

Not sure if the harder edges will wear my bodhran down more (hope not).
