    Koolertron Rear View License Plate Backup CMOS Camera

    • All wiring is perfect but it just stopped working
    • Here is what I have found - this camera has a a long cord with proprietary plug in the line about three feet out from the camera end so if there is a problem after installing it later on you will NOT have re-wire this all the way from the interior where your display is ( at this plug there is also a red and black power connection I will get to that in a bit ) on the end of the proprietary wire there is a RCA plug to connect to your display with a red wire coming out next to the RCA plug
    • The instructions are horrible but if you understand wiring like myself you'll figure it out
    • Cheap plastic and the parking lines are not accurate and the wires are so easy to snap i wouldnt recommend
    • I installed this in my dad's Expedition and used additonal wire as the included wire was not long enough.
    • I ran both the wires straight to one of my rear back-up lights and it works fine

    • It was a very quick install however there was barely enough wire to allow it to reach the back of my dakota
    • I used silicone caulk to back-fill the holes - this worked quite well for weather proofing the car and protecting the wires
    • and I was pretty impressed with the camera, of course you have to have the right display and wiring in the car
    • Well priced and a good budget camera, this wired directly to my LCD mirror and it does the
