So won't obstruct view but still can see at eye level.

Not so great - it 'slips' out of the CD slot quite often and the [range] of the angles is limited - so if you're driving on a bright sunny day, it's not easy to angle the arms to get a better view of your phone.

used it in my 14 F150 and it holds my i phone 7 plus very well but you have to use it upside down because it hits the hazard light button the other way but works fine and much less expensive than any other solution I found and finally I found a use for the cd player......
