Not as great, maybe, as the other Koss pairs I have, but very nice, and the plug is such that it doesn't get torn sideways easily & require replacement within a few days

Over a year ago I bought a better Koss set and that one remains like new dispite teenage use (a good test indeed).

There is an amount of sound leakageNeedless to say, I highly, highly recommend the Koss UR40

Good job, Koss.

In summary, the Koss UR-40 is worth $30 to the iPod crowd

-
and I can't stress this enough -- the Koss UR40

In my opinion these $30 Koss UR40 sound better than those sets costing more than $200.The bass is stronger on these and the treble clear and clean

These KOSS cans are extremely sensitive, which means you won't have to crank your stereo's volume to get deep bass and clear highs

These Koss headphones are comfortable and sound better than I expected for the money.

I checked the music with another set of headphones and the Koss UR40 was definitely bad.
-
Koss is indeed trustworthy and the product is made of good quality
-
The sound is fuller than Koss' heavier TD series, practically indistinguishable from the Sennheiser's or my Sony MDR600's--balanced, with tight, definitive bass, crisp percussion, pleasant and very present mid-range.
-
Sound like the vintage Koss sound they're known for for years
-
They make the Koss UR40s sound like utter garbage
