The frequency response is fantastic and these sound every bit as good as a $200 pair I tried
-
But the first thing i noticed was how light they are, although it can be good for heavy headphones would feel clunky, these seems too light to be a decent pair or headphones, almost feeling like its just cheaply made and wouldn't withstand much handling
-
and I was taken aback about how a cheaper pair can outlast a pair that I spent quadruple for
-
Not as great, maybe, as the other Koss pairs I have, but very nice, and the plug is such that it doesn't get torn sideways easily & require replacement within a few days
-
This particular pair had me a little apprehensive due to the open-air design on the back/outer shell
-
I bought the UR40s because they seemed to carry themselves as one of Koss's noteworthy pairs of budget headphones
-
The search for a good pair of headphones for me continues.
-
I bought my fist pair of these in 2009 when I turned
-
This is my second pair, my other pair is still working but the covering on the ear pads are fraying after using for six years!
-
My first pair broke when the right cup stopped working
-
I'd say that if you want a good pair for occasional use these should do
-
:)I purchased an "expensive" 99 dollar pair of sound canceling headphones a while back
-
My bottom line is for $30-$35 you cannot go wrong with the Koss UR40's if you are looking for a good pair of budget cans, cans that you can go out in, or simply because you cannot/will not spend gobbs of money for that little (or not so little) extra
-
Unfortunately, my pair got stolen while I was in college, but they were my favorite headphones
-
I've worn them for entire airshifts (4 hours) and my ears did not sweat, nor did my head feel like I was wearing a heavy pair of DJ Cans
-
I suspect that should you forget yourself and walk away from the short tether too quickly (I lost a favorite pair of Panasonics that way) these will not be forgiving phones.
-
This is my first pair of enclosed-ear headphones and while satisfied for now, I foresee a newer, probably twice as expensive pair in my not too distant future.
-
That said, I am still capable of rating a few of those aspects commonly sought in a good pair of cans
-
Bass is good enough for me, but if all your music is about the bass, maybe a different pair would be better
-
The first pair still works but are 10+ years old and showing signs of wear.
-
, I believe you wont find a better pair

For the price, these are a decent pair of headphones.
-
Hope this helps anyone looking for a decent pair of headphones that are not going to kill your wallet.
-
Still going strong and sound as great as ever - somebody said these were as close to perfect as you can get
-
Although if they did that as bad as they made these things they'd get killed
-
These headphones are not bad sounding for the price, but they have one fatal flaw: Anyone sitting in a ten foot radius can hear your music just as well as you can
