If "price is an object" and you love value, then you could not do better than a pair of these at around $25 or so.

They work just fine and are good value for the money.

They are not high-end quality, but an exceptional value for the price & highly recommended.

BUT, when playing the music from a high-quality source, a component CD player, the value bumps up another notch, 7/10

I generally find Koss headphones a great sonic value

Perhaps the Grado RS-1s are slightly better, but at 20x the price (30.00 vs. 600.00), I the Koss UR40's are a much better value and not giving up much in sound quality.

They are a good value for the money, but on my non-folding ones, the connection with the ear-brackets and the inverted y-brackets that allow the cans to suspend is too flimsy, although some flexibility is probably to prevent them from being snapped off too easily, and to allow some wiggle room on the head and when taking them off and putting them on

IMO, the Koss UR 40 are the best value in audio headphones
