The wires are too delicate to repair by soldering in a new jack making these pretty much disposable.
-
The only problem is the short and thin wire
-
The only negative is the thin wires
-
Slightly delicate wiring used may make them less long-lasting to those who pack them in a backpack of briefcase for use, but for regular use with care they will, and have, lasted a long time.
-
Cons-The wire is a bit short.-I don't know if you can call this a con because the sound is good for the price, but not Bose quality.
-
Must be some shoddy wire in there
-
The wire is pretty thin though, but it makes the wire so much more lightweight and manageable, and although it's thin it really feels solid
-
but I prefer that since then the wires can't get messed up or broken as easily.

Not for children - they will screw up the cabling within weeks (or sooner if they fall asleep with them on - they'll screw up the tiny fragile wiring in a New York minute) - had to send them back twice - and Koss just sent a brand new set back
-
No crazy spaghetti wiring to mess with or worry
