This device is perfect for fixing that - I set the computer volume to something mid-range and use the VC/20 for attenuating the volume to something reasonable in my headphones

Very fast shipping and the device works very well, wish someone would make one of these that puts the control, well about 18-24 inches below the headphones it woul be much more Convenient than having to pull 3 ft of cord up to get to it

The Koss unit can be left in place and take all that wear and tear abuse, so you only need to replace an inexpensive accessory rather than pay dearly for repairs to your expensive major device

I'm sure there's some quality loss introduced by putting this device between the source and the headphones, but I'm unable to discern a difference

This device lasted until two days past the Amazon window for returning items, then crapped out

and that is a much superior device for the same or similar price.
