Cup wouldn't come out after a single use, lots of plastic and opportunity for this to break.

The cup is deep enough that if you turn the grinder over and slightly tap it, upon removal, all the contents will fall out without spilling elsewhere

Some things are best with the pestle, but the grinder really is quick and easy if you are careful about the heat, especially if you plan to toast the spices immediately anyway.you cannot remove the cup and clean it, the best you can do is the rice, baking soda, and wipe out, although using a bit of vodka or other unflavored spirit to dampen the cloth can help remove oils.

Instead I upgraded to a version with removable and dishwasher safe cups for three times the price.

The removable cup is extremely convenient to pour the grounds into the filter.

At least, by putting in the effort of shaking in between bursts, you can grind coffee well enough to make a nice cup with it

I typically use 4 large scoops of beans [it can hold much more] and grind for just 5 seconds for a perfectly smooth, medium-fine grind to get 3.5 robust cups of coffee

I would guess a 1/4 cup of coffee beans fits, which is great for me because I prefer not to grind more than a couple of days worth to ensure I get a fresher tasting cup of coffee

The upper grounds never chop beyond a very coarse ground, not nearly enough to make a good cup of coffee

There is no way to remove the stainless steel cup from the rest of the grinder to pour the coffee

Cleaning after each use is unnecessary because the stainless grinding cup removes with a little twist and empties completely without a brush, so there's no mess on the counter either when I pour the grounds into the filter basket

But I noticed that the blade seemed loose when you removed the cup to clean it, and coffee grounds would fall down into the base so I’d have to rinse that out too

For such a simple device, it is incredibly quiet and easy to clean with the detachable coffee grinding cup

Also, it's hard to clean underneath the detachable cup.
