Supposedly a burr grinder makes a bettet grind, but I’ve always found this one works quite well — and for substantially less money.

I bought another unit from Amazon back in June 2020 and this one stopped working within 6 months, with the same exact issue (smoke from bottom of the unit).I decided to reach out to KRUPS customer service this time and submitted a warranty ticket with them on 11/13/2020

I have a single serving coffee maker and the grinder works great for a single scoop of coffee beans

It is noisy and it does take time to grind a whole back of beans but its handheld and works so good!

The removable metal cup (where the blades are located) is a great design idea and works effectively, it turns into and out of place and makes it easy to pour the grounds (there is also a silicone lid for storing unused grounds outside of the unit)
